The money and powers we get from devolution should put more money in your pocket, and take none out. If I am elected mayor I promise, I will NOT place any taxes on you.
We need to maintain and improve our roads. With devolution and the right mayor we’ll get extra funding to help do that. If I am the mayor, I will prioritise not just fixing our main roads, but our neighbourhoods and rural roads.
We need good public transport to help people get to work, school, the shop and public services. If I was your mayor I would use our extra funding to improve local transport.
Whether you’re trying to watch Netflix at home, or do emails or bills for work, in Hull or on top of the Wolds, you have to have good phone and internet connection. If I am elected Mayor I will work with providers to get these improvements.
Whether it’s on the industrial Humber, across our farms and countryside or in our towns, I will bring new jobs here. As a former teacher I know how to deliver better training and skills so that it’s our local people of all ages who can get those jobs.
