Remember I want to be your mayor, to deliver:
1. Better roads - we need to make sure our roads are maintained to a good standard, and not just our main roads, but our neighbourhoods and country roads which we use every day.
2. Better buses and trains - we need to make sure our communities are well connected and that we have transport which serves both our urban and rural needs, helping to get people to work, school, the shops, and the doctors.
3. Improved broadband and phone signal - whether you’re trying to watch Netflix at home or do your emails at work, we’ve got to have good broadband and phone signal across our region to improve people’s lives and support our businesses big and small.
4. Increased jobs, skills, and training for local people - we need to bring more well-paid jobs to our region; you shouldn’t have to go to London or Manchester to get a decent job, and we need to ensure it’s our local people who are trained to get the new jobs, from industry to agriculture, I will bring into our area.
5. While not adding any additional taxes - devolution should put more money in your pocket and take none out.
